Tryout information for 2025:
DIAA SPORTS PHYSICALS MUST BE COMPLETED AND CORRECTLY ON FILE WITH THE SCHOOL NURSE.
If players do not have a physical on file they will not be permitted to tryout and therefore automatically cut from the teams.

Tryouts will be held from August 11th-14th, if you are unable to make it to those dates you will not be able to tryout for the 2025 season. We do have more opportunities inside the program for incoming students who would still like to be involved, for information about those opportunities please email Coach Caitlin.
August 11th: 7:30am-2pm (Day 1 of tryouts)
August 12th: 8am-2pm (Day 2 of tryouts first round of cuts are made)
August 13th: 8am-2pm (Day 3 of tryouts final cuts are made and teams are selected)
August 14th: 8am-2pm (program skills day)

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CONCORD BASEBALL TEAM
Congratulations to the Concord Raiders baseball program on winning the “IBUA Rocky Salvatore Sportsmanship Award” for the 2021 season. This award is given each year by the Interstate Baseball Umpires Association to the Northern Delaware High School baseball team that displays the highest level of sportsmanship in the game of baseball.
The award was first given in 1995 by IBUA to help establish a greater sense of sportsmanship at the High School level. It was given the name of Rocky Salvatore in honor of a fallen comrade who dedicated much of his life helping young people become successful adults.
The award is voted on by the entire membership of Interstate Baseball Umpires. The teams are judged not only by the sportsmanship toward the umpires, but also the sportsmanship toward the opposing players, coaches, and even the opposing fans. It’s important these characteristics are shown whether the team is winning or losing.
Of the many winners that have received this award, the Concord High School baseball team is one of only two schools to be selected as a five (5) time winner. This can only happen with the total dedication of the coaching staff, players believing in the system, and with the backing of the school administration. The coaching staff of Tim Hamberger and his assistants have set an extremely high bar for the rest of the teams in Northern Delaware baseball to follow.
The parents, school faculty, and administration should be proud of this accomplishment as it is an award teams strive for each year. When looking for a high school baseball program that exemplifies class and good sportsmanship, look no further than Concord High School.

Congratulations Shannon Edelman
